Japanese vase ICHIRINIKE HANAKOMON
Traditional Japanese vase ICHIRINIKE HANAKOMON - Flower Vase with a series of Petals pattern. This Kutaniware was crafted by Kazuka Asakura. She arranges Komon design on the entire surface. Komon is the skill that has been handed down for generation. The same pretty flowers are painted seamlessly on the surface. The art of Kutaniyaki has a history that goes back more than 360 years and is characterized by a method of thickly painting with a five-color style known as Gosai. The vase is suitable for placing up to 40 flowers, but looks impressive also with a few flowers.

The vase is a masterpiece of traditional Chinese woodcarving. Each vase is carved from a single piece of Mesua ferrea, ironwood, known for its strength and durability. The natural beauty of the wood is highlighted by the detailed carving. Approx. height 7 cm.
Mesua ferrea is a slow-growing tree found in Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, Philippines, Malajasia. It is the national tree of Sri Lanka and a sacred Indian tree. The columns of the Embekke Shrine near Kandy are made of it. Its wood sinks in the water.The vase is suitable for placing up to 40 flowers, but looks impressive also with a few flowers.
