Globally unique bouquet of pure gold
April 18, 2023
In November 2022, we began creating unique jewel flowers of silver and gold. In 2023, a customer purchased our silver flowers and was so charmed by them he immediately placed a highly unusual order - a golden bouquet of almost 0.75 kg gold to decorate his home. The bouquet is now finished and we can share its beauty with you. It’s likely the most valuable golden bouquet created in the modern world - a global achievement for Czechia that develops the country’s tradition of thoughtfulness, creativity, and craftsmanship.
Unique golden GIYOU bouquet
The bouquet consists of golden GIYOU flowers (daisies, cornflowers, lilac, bellflowers, lavender, snowdrops, ryegrass, plantain, mouse-ear chickweed, violets, violet leaves). The 118 flowers are made of purest gold (999.9/1000), hallmarked 999/1000.
The total weight is 739 g and price roughly 3.5 million CZK (150.000 EUR). The bouquet’s purpose is to decorate the customer’s home.
Why pure gold
Unlike golden products made of less fine gold (especially 14 K and 18 K gold) which are available in a wide range of colours, 24 karat gold has a uniform bright, impressive orange-yellow appearance, noticeably different from the colour of gold most people are accustomed to. Apart from its look, its investment value also makes it a sought-after commodity.
These were the reasons why 24K gold was chosen as the material for the bouquet. Due to its softness, it’s used only rarely in jewellery-making. However, since the bouquet isn’t meant to be worn and the risk of scratching is minimal, the impressive, soft, pure gold was an obvious choice.
World first from Bohemia - the most expensive and richest bouquet made of gold
Available information suggests the 118 flower bouquet might be the most expensive golden flower/bouquet created in the current world. And we have not received any information that a bouquet made of 24K gold or lower purity gold with so many flowers or so many different types of flowers has been created at present. It is probably the most expensive golden bouquet or golden flowers in the world today.
The design and manufacturing were done entirely in Czechia. The bouquet was handmade using a traditional jewellery-making method - a testament to the extraordinary nature of Czech craftsmanship and creativity. It is also proof of the extraordinary craftsmanship and creativity of Czech hands.
A new form of decoration
The GIYOU concept was born from a fascination with the living Czech garden and is a connection between flowers, jewellery, garden and home. Jewelry flowers are delivered in person, made into bouquets, and placed in vases. And they are used not only for gifts, but also as impressive decoration in a vase.
Gold gives the interior a pleasant, refined atmosphere, a feeling of nobility and also friendliness. Flowers made of 24K gold give the space the emotions of flowers, elegance and timeless value. And also feelings associated with family history and heritage.
And it seems that a new form of home decor is slowly emerging. Luxury decoration that crosses the boundaries of conventional luxury and brings a new perspective.
Significance for GIYOU
For us, the main meaning of the bouquet was primarily in confirming the meaning of our work, creating delicate and graceful flowers for people that will fit into their lives and bring them a new experience, a category of gifts, decorations and celebrations of life.
GIYOU flowers are intended for people who will delight in one silver flower and have all the prerequisites for exclusive gifts or extraordinary decoration in vases. Both directions are important to us and in the future we will approach similar orders for the creation of unique jewelry floral works more often.
The bouquet is placed in a Moser vase. Czech Miss Earth for 2015 Karolína Mališová (@karolinamalisova) is dressed in a dress by leading Czech fashion designer Beata Rajská (@beatarajska, www.beatarajska.com). We believe that the world-unique bouquet with 118 flowers was not our last, nor even the most important, craft creation. We are just at the beginning, and we look forward to further creation and the joy it will bring to people.
