YOUR OWN VASE
How to Choose Your Own Vase for Jeweller’s Flowers
You can also place Jeweller’s Flowers in a vase you already have at home or one you have discovered elsewhere.
When choosing a vase, consider its height, neck width, stability, and the number and type of flowers you would like to place in it.

VASE HEIGHT
The Flower Should Sit Properly in the Vase
Most GIYOU Jeweller’s Flowers have stems approximately 9–16 cm long. Daffodils and poppies are taller and require different vase proportions.
Smaller vases often work well for a single flower or a small bouquet.
For smaller flowers or just a few stems, we generally use vases around 7–10 cm high. For taller flowers or a larger number of stems, vases 13 cm high or more usually work better.
VASE NECK
Height Is Not the Only Consideration
The width of the neck affects how the flowers sit in the vase and how they can be arranged.
For one or a few flowers, a narrower neck is usually more suitable. As the number of flowers increases, more space is needed for the individual stems and their arrangement.
A neck that is too wide can cause a small number of flowers to spread too far apart. A neck that is too narrow, on the other hand, may not provide enough room for a larger garden.
VASE FILLER
When the Vase Is Too Deep
A taller vase does not have to be unsuitable for Jeweller’s Flowers simply because its base is too low.
For some vases, we use a filler to create a higher base inside the vase. This allows the flowers to stand at the right height and helps keep them in the desired position.
Depending on the vase, fine glass crystals can be used in particular.

NUMBER OF FLOWERS
The Vase Should Match the Size of the Garden
A single flower needs a different vase from a garden of dozens of flowers.
To help you choose according to the number of flowers, we have prepared a separate guide featuring specific vases that we use and have tested.
TALL FLOWERS
Daffodil and Poppy
Daffodils and poppies are taller than most other GIYOU Jeweller’s Flowers.
When choosing your own vase, their height should therefore be taken into account so that the vase provides the right proportions and sufficient support.
If you would like to combine taller flowers with others, the overall composition of the garden also matters.
STABILITY
For Larger Gardens, the Vase Itself Matters Too
As the number of Jeweller’s Flowers increases, so does their overall weight.
For larger gardens, we therefore recommend a vase with a sufficiently stable base and suitable proportions.
For very large gardens, we recommend choosing the vase individually with our assistance.
NOT SURE?
Send Us Your Vase
You do not need to decide on your own whether it will be suitable for Jeweller’s Flowers.
Send us a photograph and the basic dimensions: the height of the vase, the diameter of its neck, and a photograph of the entire vase. Let us also know which flowers you already have or how many you would like to place in it.
We will assess the vase and recommend suitable flowers, their number and, where appropriate, how they can be arranged.
If you prefer, you can also bring your vase to GIYOU in person.
